Main Street Garden & Cafe features an onsite organic vegetable garden, located at the rear of the property sitting just above Soquel Creek on very rich, fertile soil.  Our garden team works in cooperation with our chef to ensure that the weekly harvest is incorporated into the menu.  In some instances, the ingredients are washed and used in our kitchen just hours after being picked!

We just finished a major overhaul of the garden space, including new raised beds, a chicken coop, composting area, and lots of flowers! We’re also working on installing drip irrigation in the beds. We encourage you to explore our garden and visit with the chickens during your meal, but please ensure that all children are supervised.  Feel free to sample a strawberry or pick a lemon.

There will be lots of fresh produce for the kitchen in the coming months, including heirloom tomatoes, tomatillos, peppers, squash, beans, scallions, fennel, kohlrabi, turnips, and sunchokes, as well as specialty greens and of course, lots of fresh herbs. Our 30 chickens are already supplying the kitchen with plenty of fresh eggs every day, which you will see featured throughout the menu.
